02 / A — The character’s story

The retainer behind the quiet welcome

How do you return to a duty when the world has lived twenty years without you?

The story here runs through the beginning of the Onigashima raid.

  1. Oden’s household

    A loyalty formed together.

Kikunojo becomes one of Oden’s retainers alongside the companions who will share the Kozuki family’s fate. That service gives her more than a master to follow: it binds her to people whose promise will outlast the household they lose.

  2. The time jump

    Living behind an ordinary role.

Sent into the future by Toki, Kiku arrives in a Wano shaped by twenty years of oppression she has not experienced in the same way. Working at a tea house lets her remain within everyday life while concealing the warrior and retainer who has returned.

  3. The raid

    Stepping back into the promise.

When the alliance moves against Kaido, Kiku joins the retainers taking their long-delayed fight to Onigashima. Leaving concealment behind makes her loyalty public again, placing the hope carried through time into a struggle she must face in the present.

A moment before the cut.

Kikunojo lifts her hair with both arms, the sword resting at her waist. Pink petals and a yellow kimono soften the composition; this is the base OP06-104 edition.

The mask takes the foreground.

Gold armour and a toothy mask fill the portrait, with blue hair and sharp pale diagonals behind. Compare the visible costume rather than assigning a story scene.

The sword crosses the frame.

A red sword grip and a pale sweeping blade cut across the yellow sleeves. The face remains visible in this energetic close-up.
