02 / A — The character’s story
A daughter beyond the arena
What does survival mean when violence has already taken a family apart?
The story here runs through Dressrosa.
The toy soldier
Protected by a forgotten father.
After Dressrosa’s royal family falls, Rebecca grows up under the protection of a toy soldier whose true identity has been erased from memory. He is Kyros, her father, caring for a daughter who cannot recognise the relationship that still guides his actions.
The colosseum
Refusing to become what the crowd demands.
Rebecca enters the arena and survives through evasive fighting rather than the spectacle of injuring her opponents. The crowd’s hostility makes every appearance a public reminder of her family’s disgrace, while her discipline preserves something the arena cannot easily take from her.
After Doflamingo
Choosing the family she has recovered.
The end of Doflamingo’s rule restores the possibility of a life with Kyros beyond his toy form. Rebecca gives up the position of crown princess, choosing closeness to her father over a royal future that would separate them again.
