Bartholomew Kuma

Born of the legendary Buccaneer race, Kuma spent his childhood enslaved in God Valley before escaping during the native hunt and dedicating his life to healing others in Sorbet Kingdom. Consuming the Paw-Paw Fruit, Kuma used his powers to push pain and suffering out of the sick, absorbing it into his own body every week out of boundless compassion.

To secure a cure for his adopted daughter Bonney's fatal illness, Kuma made the ultimate sacrifice: allowing Dr. Vegapunk to gradually erase his memories and convert his body into the cyborg weapon Pacifista. Even with his humanity stripped away, Kuma's subconscious programming held fast, safeguarding the Thousand Sunny for two years and delivering a final punch to Saint Saturn on Egghead.
