02 / A — The character’s story
The horizon beyond Zou
How does the wish for an adventure become a promise to carry forward?
The story here runs through Whole Cake Island.
Leaving Zou
Curiosity steps aboard.
Carrot leaves the familiar life of Zou to travel with the group going after Sanji, eager to see the wider world. Her excitement makes the journey feel like discovery before the dangers of Big Mom’s territory reveal what travelling with the Straw Hats can demand.
Pedro
Learning what the journey costs.
Pedro’s sacrifice gives the escape a price that Carrot cannot treat as another adventure. His belief in the people they are helping leaves her with grief and a reason to keep moving, connecting her own future to hopes she has only begun to understand.
The moon
Using her strength to open the way.
Under the full moon, Carrot enters Sulong and attacks the pursuing fleet to help the Sunny escape. The curious passenger becomes a protector, spending her strength so that the voyage Pedro supported can continue beyond the island.
