The story here runs through Arlong Park.
A village to save
A village to save
Growing up in Cocoyasi Village under the warm care of Belle-mère, Nami dreamed of charting an accurate map of the whole world. That peaceful childhood was shattered when the Arlong Pirates invaded, murdering Belle-mère and enslaving Nami to draft navigational charts. For eight painful years, she stole treasure from pirates, carrying the secret burden of buying back her village's freedom.
A course of her own
A course of her own
When Arlong betrayed their deal, Nami stabbed her own tattooed shoulder in pure despair until Luffy stopped her hand and placed his straw hat on her head. With Arlong defeated, Nami set sail with the Straw Hats as their navigator, finally free to sail the dangerous Grand Line and chart the unknown seas.
